Abstract

Soft power is the ability to influence others to achieve optimal results through attractive rather than compulsory or despised. The study of the researches conducted by researchers in the field of soft power, in addition to showing their level of scientific capability and their impact on scientific development, can be considered as an appropriate criterion for scientific evaluation of this society for scientific promotion of the authorities. The aim of this study was to investigate the co-authoring network of soft power writers in Iran. This study is a scientometrics study and was conducted using social network analysis approach using 90XL software. The study population consisted of all articles in the field of soft power indexed in scientific information center of Jihad University (sid) and Siolika database. The findings showed that during the period of study, 174 articles with soft power were indexed in these databases. These articles are written by 348 authors. The survey shows that the amount of scientific cooperation among authors in the soft power field is low. The most active authors of soft power field were identified according to the number of nodes, the highest interstitial centrality and the highest specific vector centrality.
