The aim of current paper is to identifying altruistic readiness in people of Quchan and its effective factors. Weber's action typology, Ajzen's theory of planned behavior, and Bandura's learning theory were used in explaining altruistic readiness.The research was done with survey method with a researcher-made questionnaire. Wignetts were used for measuring altruistic readiness in the form of 7 short stories. Stratified random Sampling was used for selecting respondents and the sample size regarding Cochran’t formula was stimated to be 323 people. Based on the theoretical framework, four factors of Affection by another's suffering, hope for feuture help, feeling of social responsibility and normative environment of the family were measured for the altruistic readiness. the altruistic readiness has no significant relationship with age, gender, and marital status; but it significant relationship with income and education. As a result, the higher the income of the people, the greater the willingness to altruistic action. In addition, the higher a person's education, the more readiness for altruistic action. Finally, the most effective factor in the readiness for altruistic action in the people of Quchan was the affection of another's suffering, and after that, the hope of returning help, the sense of social responsibility, and the normative atmosphere of the family.
