The present study aims to elucidate position of martyrdom within the framework of future-oriented ontology of the Quran and to determine its role in shaping the future of believers community. While many Quranic studies conceptualize martyrdom merely as a moral virtue or a historical event within the context of jihad, this research proposes that within the semantic system of the Quran, martyrdom transcends this level, finding deeper meaning within the divine laws and progression of the believers community. Consequently, within the framework of Quranic ontology, this study examines relationship of martyrdom to continuity, dynamism, and future of community, as well as its impact on shaping this future. Methodologically, this is a basic, qualitative study that employs thematic analysis to examine data gathered through a documentary and library-based approach from verses and authoritative commentaries. During the analytical process, verses concerning martyrdom, martyr life , the divine promise, divine victory, and the future of the community of believers were identified, conceptually coded, and analyzed to extract themes related to shaping the future of the believing community. The findings demonstrate that in Quranic logic, future-orientation is not merely a subjective hope or an abstract promise, but rather achieves historical realization through costly faith-based actions, including jihad and martyrdom. Accordingly, beyond its individual and spiritual significance, martyrdom at social level is linked to strengthening monotheistic identity, reproducing spirit of resilience, and sustaining the historical movement of faith community, thereby serving as a key determinant in directionality and continuity of future of the believers community.
