Prayer, as a pillar of religion and a symbol of God's service, plays a fundamental role in strengthening religious identity, promoting individual morality, and calming the mind. However, young people, especially conscripts, face numerous pressures in contemporary conditions, such as identity crisis, economic constraints, social pressures, and emotional-psychological challenges, which can affect the performance of this duty. This study aimed to evaluate the status of prayer performance and identify the factors affecting it among IRGC soldiers. The study method was a mixed, exploratory-explanatory method; in the qualitative part, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 115 soldiers and examined with a content analysis approach, and in the quantitative part, a descriptive-applied survey was conducted using a standard questionnaire on 6037 soldiers across the country. The findings showed that the majority of soldiers accept prayer as a divine value and adhere to praying; However, six main axes including "beliefs and beliefs, family, behaviors, society, work environment and economy and livelihood" were proposed as the most important influential variables in the field of prayer among people who neglect prayer. Also, the two axes of "virtual space" and "friends" act as mediating variables and can strengthen or weaken the effect of other axes. Based on the ecological analysis of the data, a set of multi-level solutions at the individual, interpersonal, organizational and social levels was proposed that can be used in cultural-religious policy-making and educational and training planning of the armed forces.
