Organizational learning plays a critical and indispensable role in contemporary universities, serving as a sustainable competitive advantage for these institutions in an evolving global landscape. This study was precisely designed and executed with the overarching objective of systematically identifying and quantifying the key dimensions and underlying components that significantly influence organizational learning within the unique context of Iranian universities. The research methodology employed a rigorous quantitative meta-analysis, which involved the comprehensive aggregation and analysis of twenty-one scientific documents and articles meticulously published in reputable national databases between 2010 (1389 S.H.) and 2023 (1402 S.H.). The data extraction process focused on convertible statistics, which were subsequently analyzed using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (CMA) software and Cohen's effect size (r) criterion. The robust results revealed an average pooled effect size of 0.556 for the relationship between the learning organization model and organizational learning, positioning this correlation substantially above the conventional moderate threshold. Furthermore, the analysis of specific dimensions indicated that team learning and systems thinking demonstrated the most substantial and consequential impact. These compelling findings underscore the paramount necessity for university leaders to strategically prioritize leadership development, organizational culture reform, the optimization of information technology infrastructure, and knowledge management practices to truly enhance institutional learning capacity. Crucially, the outcome of this meta-analysis offers a firm empirical foundation to directly inform the formulation of macro-level educational policies within the higher education system and to guide university administrators in prioritizing and executing operational strategic plans.
