The aim of the present research was to propose a paradigmatic model of ethics-driven management in municipal cultural-sports organizations. This qualitative study was conducted using a grounded theory approach (Strauss and Corbin's systematic model) and was applied in nature. The research population included academic experts (with at least two research experiences in the field of study), managers of municipal cultural-sports organizations (with a minimum of 5 years of management experience, in provincial centers, and holding a doctoral degree), and distinguished employees of municipal cultural-sports organizations (with over 10 years of experience, holding master's and doctoral degrees, with sports backgrounds, and high scores in annual evaluations). These participants were selected through purposive snowball sampling (19 individuals). The ethics-driven management model in municipal cultural-sports organizations is influenced by causal conditions (beliefs, work norms, and managerial characteristics) and considers extracted strategies (transparency, fairness and justice, role modeling, reporting, strategic orientation, and training), which are affected by contextual conditions (organizational culture, organizational structure, and public culture) and intervening conditions (misconceptions about ethics-driven management and regulations). This model is expected to lead to sports outcomes, improved employee and organizational performance, and increased customer satisfaction. However, the results of this research may provide a basis for advancing towards ethical management and encourage managers to move in this direction.
