Background and purpose of the research: After the martyrdom of General Ghasem Soleimani and the funeral of millions, many researchers sought the cause and reasons for the popularity of the martyr and the formation of the Soleimani school. In this study, the purpose of recognizing the non-verbal communication martyrdom of General Ghasem Soleimani as one of the reasons for the popularity of the martyr is to familiarize the commanders of forces and community leaders with this type of communication in communicating with the troops and the people in society.
Research Method: This research is qualitative research that was done with sign-semantic. The analysis unit is a photo. Out of 121 photos, 16 were purposefully selected to be analyzed according to the research pattern and areas of non-verbal communication.
The results showed that the non-verbal communication of the martyrdom of General Ghasem Soleimani observed in the sample photos is a desirable model in non-verbal communication that can be an example for the commanders of the Islamic Resistance Front. In the sign-semantic analysis of the surviving photographs of the martyr, among the eight domains of non-verbal communication in the research model, six domains including kinematics, privacy, sentimental messages, cover, color, signs, and symbols were observed and analyzed in the sample photographs. Only two domains Metalanguage and time were not observed due to limited images and non-recording in photos.
