One of the psychological variables that is allocated to a special place in the psychology of religion is the devotion and attachment to God. Attachment is one of the influencing factors for the endurance of individuals. The successful resistance against challenging situations, such as those faced by the wives of martyrs is the main concept of endurance. With due attention to the place of martyrdom in Islamic Republic of Iran it is necessary to protect, pay attention and respect for the martyrs' families and conduct studies and different kinds of research about the psychological situation of martyrs' wives. The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between attachment to God style and endurance of martyrs' wives in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. The method of the study is the correlation one. The tool of the study is Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (2003) and the questioner Attachment to God style Scale of McDonald (2004). The sample of this study is all martyrs' widows who were not remarried in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province. Among them, 75 persons were selected conveniently and completed the questioner. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient are used. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation (612 / 0r =) between the endurance of attachment to God (01/0 P ≤). The correlation coefficients of attachment to God involve four dimensions of relationship with God, confidence, trust and respect to God with endurance tolerance, respectively: 26/0, 39/0, 48/0 and 51/0. According to the research findings, there is a significant relationship between attachment to God and endurance. People who have a secure attachment to God because of the acceptance of God as a secure backing, feel more able to counter any problems, feel more supportive, have the meaningful and targeted attitude to the life and also they have more positive psychological characteristics.
