National identity represents the personality of every nation that can be raised and highlighted among other nations. The aim of this study was to determine the attention of primary school textbooks to national identity. The research method is descriptive content analysis. The statistical population of all 43 primary school textbooks published in 2017 was studied using census method. Data collection tool was a researcher-made content analysis form of textbooks. Content analysis was used to analyze the data using The Shanon Entherapy Technique. The findings showed that among the components of national identity (cultural, political, symbols), political component with 274 cases, cultural component of 273 cases and symbols 195 cases were used in textbooks. The findings also showed that the highest importance coefficient in primary school textbooks had the third and lowest values in the second grade.
